THANK YOU

May 27 2024

The Town of Millet would like to express our gratitude to everyone who assisted during the recent water advisory. It's truly heartwarming to see so many people step up during such a significant incident, and for that, we are incredibly thankful.

We extend our thanks to the City of Wetaskiwin, City of Leduc, and the Southwest Regional Water Commission for their donation and delivery of electronic signage. Special thanks to the Millet Fire Department, particularly Ryan Mcgilvary and Derek Day, and the Parks and Bylaw staff for their efforts in informing all residents.

We also want to acknowledge and commend the staff who went above and beyond to handle the situation and ensure the safety of our residents. Some town staff members came in on their days off and some stayed way beyond their shifts to help, and we are grateful for their dedication and teamwork in managing what could have been a major crisis.

This is a reminder that we should not take things for granted, as they can be compromised without warning. It's crucial for our community to come together and support each other during these times. It is also a reminder that false information being spread on social media sites can only cause more stress and panic for people. If you want to know what is happening in your community, please visit your community website at www.millet.ca, our Town of Millet Facebook page, or call the office directly at 780-387-4554. We want to thank all the residents who reached out to help and helped spread the word.
